Darren Sammy Retires From Test Cricket

St. Lucia's first West Indies Test cricketer has officially informed the WICBC, of his retirement from this form of the game. His retirement came following the decision of selectors to remove him as captain of the region's test team.

Sammy played 38 test matches for the West Indies cricket team, 30 as captain. He won just 8, lost 12 and drew 10. He will continue playing the shorter forms of the game namely T20/20 and One day (ODI) formats.

Darren Sammy has been replaced by Trinidad's and West Indies wicket keeper Denesh Ramdin.
